Since 1968 there has been a 40% decrease in the numbers of animals used in biomedical research and testing in the United States. Control Corrective has never tested on animals. We are part of the The Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics’ (CCIC) Leaping Bunny Program and you can find us in their cruelty free shopping guide. The Leaping Bunny program was created by eight national animal protection groups that banded together to form the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics (CCIC). The CCIC promotes a single comprehensive standard and an internationally recognized Leaping Bunny Logo. They work with companies to help make shopping for animal-friendly products easier and more trustworthy.
There are many reasons why a company chooses to be cruelty-free and we want to share the reasons why we feel it is so important to uphold cruelty free measures.
- Using alternative testing that is more statistically valid. Animal skin is NOT a perfect substitute for human skin — human skin is the only perfect substitute for human skin.
- As a company we feel no animal should suffer for anyone’s beauty.
- It’s bad science. The Food and Drug Administration reports that 92 out of every 100 drugs that pass animal tests fail in humans.
- The world doesn’t need another eyeliner, hand soap, food ingredient, or pesticide so badly that it should come at the expense of animals.
Whether you are an esthetician that wants to use cruelty free skin care products on your clients or a consumer looking for an effective skin care line that you can trust to be cruelty free then you can rely on Control Corrective not only to bring you result driven products but also the peace of mind that no animals were harmed in the name of beauty.
